Sibbet/Le Saget Sustainable Organizations Model

A framework for understanding how organizations can sustain themselves.

During several decades of consulting to management teams about their organizations, David Sibbet and Meryem Le Saget have refined and tested a framework illustrating the archetypal ways organizations sustain themselves, from startup through institutionalization to becoming forces for innovation. The Sibbet/Le Saget Sustainable Organizations™ Model explains how the tension between aspirations and real-world constraints gives rise to the structures and forms organizations can take. These choices are arranged from simplest to most complex, and as is true of most natural phenomenon, the simpler patterns become sub-elements in the more complex ones. At a macro scale this framework depicts the reflexive nature of process also illustrated in The Grove's other process models.
